Can you add labels to points in point clouds?

I really like the point cloud feature, and see from the docs the different ways to specify the colors of the points.

Would I be right to assume there’s currently no way to add string labels to each point?

Could this be implemented in the future, and/or does any one know of a better tool for this?
I’m looking for something that ultimatetly can be exported and placed into a website.
