This is a safe and supportive space to ask questions about fastbook and the Fastbook Reading Group. We’re all students here!

So, what’s the Fastbook Reading Group?

The Fastbook Reading Group is a series of guided fastbook reading sessions hosted by @aman.

  • What: fastbook is a hands-on introduction to deep learning written by Jeremy Howard and Sylvain Gugger.
  • When: Wednesdays at 8pm PT / Thursdays at 5am CET / 8:30am IST / 1pm AEST
  • Where: Zoom (register here)

How long is each session?

Each session is approximately 90 minutes, although it depends on the week.

How do I attend?

Register here for a unique Zoom link. FRG sessions are also streamed to YouTube, and you can always watch the latest session with this link: http://wandb.me/fastbook-livestream

Do I need to know deep learning already?

No prior deep learning knowledge is assumed.

What is fastbook?

fastbook is an introduction to deep learning, fastai, and PyTorch. It’s also the Jupyter Notebook version of “Deep Learning for Coders with Fastai and PyTorch” by Jeremy Howard and Sylvain Gugger, which closely complements the popular “Practical Deep Learning for Coders” course by fastai.

Through fastbook, you’ll dive progressively deeper into deep learning theory and gain a complete understanding of the algorithms behind the scenes.
