No public option in project visibility scope

I want to edit the project visibility scope for a course project, but there are only two options: Team and Restricted. How can I public the project for reviewer to score it?

Hi Bao,

To change the project visibility to public in Weights & Biases, you need to adjust the project’s privacy settings. However, based on the context provided, it seems like you’re encountering an issue where only “Team” and “Restricted” options are available, and you’re looking for a way to make your project public for reviewers to score it.
Weights & Biases projects can be set to different privacy levels, including “Public”, “Private”, and “Team”, but the exact options available to you might depend on your account type or organization settings. If you’re not seeing the “Public” option, it could be due to restrictions placed by your organization or the type of account you’re using.
Here are general steps to share a Weights & Biases project publicly or adjust its visibility, assuming the “Public” option is available to you:

  1. Go to your project page on the Weights & Biases web app.
  2. Click on the lock icon in the navigation bar at the top of the page to access the project privacy settings.
  3. In the privacy settings, you should see options to adjust who can view or submit runs to your project. If available, select the “Public” option to make your project visible to anyone.
  4. Save your changes.
If you’re unable to find the “Public” option, it’s possible that your account or organization settings do not allow for public projects. In such cases, consider the following alternatives:
  • Share a View-Only Link: For private or team projects, you can generate a view-only link that allows anyone with the link to view the project without the ability to edit. This is done by creating a report and sharing it with a secret access token included in the URL.[^1]
  • Contact Your Organization’s Admin: If you’re part of an organization, your organization’s admin might have restrictions on project visibility. Reach out to them to discuss your needs for making a project public.

Best,
Jason
