# Wandb: Network error (ProxyError), entering retry loop

i run wandb in offline mode, and want to update to wandb server, it shows these error? i can ping to [wandb.ai](http://wandb.ai) but wandb sync is not ok, why?

Hi @scottxu-wandb, is there indeed a Proxy between the machine and the server?

If so, could you let me know what ports are open on the Proxy and any other relevant information about how this is ?

Also, are you running a personal wandb server or do you access the UI at [wandb.ai](http://wandb.ai)?
